Plavnica Resort, Montenegro
The project, led by architect Brana Dragic, realized in 2007, encompassed the implementation of both interior and exterior lighting. The products used were: Ares, Zonca, and Antrox.
Seeing the lake, not the fittings
On a site this dark the temptation is to light everything. The approach here was the opposite: keep levels low, keep sources below eye height along the terraces and the waterline, and let the water stay black. Guests adapt to the dark within a minute and the setting does the rest.
A hall that has to change
The banquet hall holds dinners, weddings and conferences in the same week. Warm downlight over the tables sets the level, uplight on the columns gives the room its height back, and everything is grouped into scenes so staff can move from a lit presentation to a dinner without touching a dimmer.
