Utilizing the most exclusive range of products and brands we have on offer, (Flos, Metalarte, Modoluce, Foscarini, Poomlighting, Slide, Delightfull, Morosini, Neoz, Marset, Luceplan, Oluce, Vistosi, Light4, Penta, Prandina, Artek, Viabizzuno), we participated in the redesign of interior lighting for this project, realized in 2014.
An atrium that reads from every floor
The atrium is seen from the ground, from the stairs and from the galleries above, so the lighting had to look resolved from all three. The sculptural fitting over the piano anchors the volume, the chain curtain is grazed from above to give it depth, and light is kept off the balustrades so the space reads as height rather than as edges.
Day rate, night rate
Meeting rooms need flat neutral light at nine in the morning and the bar needs almost none at eleven at night. Both run from the same infrastructure: a warm dimmable baseline for the architecture, plus a colour layer in the lounge that takes the room from daylight-neutral to deep blue without anyone moving a fitting.
