During the realization of Author Spajić’s atelier in 2012, a redesign interior lighting project was born, one which used both Flos and Artemide brands to achieve.

Lighting for small, bright things

Confectionery is sold on colour. Continuous concealed sources run along every shelf so there are no shadow gaps between products, and the colour rendering is held high enough that the reds and golds on the packaging survive. The wood the shelving is made of warms the light again on the way out.

From the window to the counter

The shop is narrow and deep, so the scheme steps brightness up towards the back: the window is lit to be read from the street, the shelving runs even along both sides, and the chalkboards and counter at the end are the brightest points in the room. Customers walk towards the light without being directed.
