Mythologia Restaurant

The lighting project of two Belgrade restaurants, led by architect Igor Klačar, was executed by donning the space with lighting by brands Axolight, Quasar, Fabbian, Flos and Artemide.

Light from the cove

The arched ceiling is the main fitting. Concealed sources in the coves throw light onto the vault and the room takes what comes back, which removes glare entirely and gives the plasterwork its shape. Nothing is aimed at a diner’s eyes at any point in the room.

Warmth at eye level

Reflected light alone leaves a dining room flat, so the decorative columns and shaded pendants add a second, warmer layer at seated height. They carry almost no output, their job is to give the room a visible source to read the space against.
