Facade lighting for Hotel Museum in Belgrade, designed by Lightology Lab with fittings by Flos and Nemo. Narrow beams set on the ledges graze the historic facade upward and pick out its cornices, window surrounds and reliefs, while dark dome spotlights on the piers of the new entrance canopy light the hotel front.
The entrance canopy
A deep white canopy marks the entrance. The dome spotlights on its piers throw light down onto the pavement and the planters, and the lit monogram reads clearly from both ends of the street.
By day
In daylight the fittings almost disappear: the domes read as part of the canopy, and the uplights stay hidden on the ledges of the old facade. After dark the same building shows its full depth of detail.
